The Pragati Scholarship is a great initiative started by government of India through AICTE to support and encourage girl students education in technical education including engineering, technology, management, pharmacy, and applied arts. Pragati Scholarship aims to support girl students financially to pursue technical education at degree/diploma level.

Meritorious female students are eligible to receive 50,000 rupees annually if selected and 5000 scholarships will be given every year to pursue their technical education.

Pragati Scholarship Eligibility Criteria – 2024-25

As it is eligible for female students only and they must be studying in AICTE approved colleges or institutions. The following criteria they must follow to get AICTE Pragati Scholarship. They must meet following Pragati Scholarship Eligibility Criteria such as financial status, education.

• The State/Central Government’s centralized admissions method must be used to admit applicants to the first or second year (by lateral entry only) of the technical diploma/degree program at an AICTE-approved college or institution during the current academic year.
• Two girl students per family is allowed for the scholarship.
• The applicant’s family income for the previous fiscal year cannot have exceeded ₹8,00,000. (Note: If the applicant is married, the higher of the applicant’s parents’ or in-laws’ incomes is taken into account.)
• Applicant should submit income and cast certificate
• The applicant must have an aadhar card.

• A bank passbook that is seeded with Aadhaar and contains the applicant’s name, account number, IFSC code, and photo, officially signed by the manager and bearing the bank’s rubber stamp
• A certificate in the format specified by the Director, Principal, or HOD
• If the candidate is applying for a SC, ST, or OBC category, an attested copy of their caste certificate
• A properly signed parental declaration in the manner required by law, certifying that the applicant’s information is accurate and that the scholarship money will be returned if any fraudulent information is discovered at any point

Benefits – Pragati Scholarship 2024-25

Five thousand scholarships are awarded to female scholars through the AICTE Pragati Scholarship. The Pragati Scholarship amount details are given below.
For each academic year, the chosen students receive ₹50,000 as a lump sum payment to cover college expenses, books, laptop and software purchases, and desktop computer purchases.

Application Process – Pragati Scholarship 2024-25

AICTE provides the Pragati scholarship application form through the NSP Portal to allow the application process. Complete the application form using the methods described below.

• Once navigate to NSP portal, applicants must register on the Portal by clicking the ‘Register Yourself’ or Register link.
  • Follow the rules and provide all necessary information to complete registration.

• After registration, applicants will receive an application ID (One Time Registration) No. and password via their registered mobile number.
• Candidates need to sign in to the NSP Portal with their application ID and password to fill out the Pragati application form.
• Candidates can login either with OTR or Aadhaar number.
• All candidates must update their password.
• Next, applicants must complete out the scholarship application form.
• Candidates must submit an application form along with scanned copies of needed documents.

Selection Process – Pragati Scholarship 2024-25

Candidates for the AICTE Pragati Scholarship are chosen on the basis of their performance on the qualifying exam for admission to a technical program at a college or institution that has received AICTE approval.

Pragati Scholarships are allocated as per below criteria
15% of the seats are reserved for SC applicants, 7.5% for ST applicants, and 27% for OBC applicants.

Step-by-step Renewal Process – AICTE Pragati Scholarship

During the course, students who are awarded the AICTE Pragati Scholarship in their initial year of enrollment are required to reapply it every year. Students must renew if they move on to the second, third, or fourth 12 months. Take these actions to renew:

• Visit www.scholarships.gov.in, the NSP portal.
• Choose ‘Renewal Application’ from the ‘Applicant Corner.’
• Enter your captcha code, password, and application ID to log in.
• In the dashboard, click ‘Apply for Renewal’.
• Enter your class information, registration/admission number, year of admission, family income, Aadhar number, and if you are a day scholar or hosteller.
