Pre Matric Scholarship Gujarat for SC Students In Gujarat provides assistance to students enrolled in the ninth and tenth grades. This scheme is designed especially for students who fall under the Scheduled Caste (SC) category. So, only SC students are eligible to apply for this scheme. The student are supposed to apply for this scholarship only and not any other scholarships. Here are the details regarding this scholarship.
Pre Matric Scholarship Gujarat Benefits for SC Students
This Pre Matric Scholarship Gujarat offers multiple sorts of help to students who are members of Scheduled Castes. It assists them with books, school supplies, tuition, school fees, and other expenses.
Students will receive this scholarship amount for ten months. Once the beneficiaries are selected, they divide the scholarship in two parts. One part is allocated to day scholar students and another part is for hostelers.
From 2022-2023 onwards, beneficiaries will be given amount as follows.
3500 rupees per annum will be given day scholars and hostellers get 7000 rupees per annum under component 1 and 8000 rupees per annum under component 2 (for class 3 to 10th) from this scholarship.
For divyang(disabled) students, an extra 10% allowance will be provided.

Application process such as form filling takes place in the online portal. So that, students must upload all of the required files indicated below. Before uploading documents, you should check all the documents for the clarity.
Once uploaded, the documents should be readable and clear, otherwise upload the another version of documents. Do not upload the softcopy documents which are not clearly visible or readable. If you upload such files which are not readable, your Pre-Matric Scholarship application will be rejected.

The Criteria for Gujarat’s Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme Gujarat for SC Students
In order to qualify for this Pre-Matric Scholarship, applicant must satisfy the eligibility requirements listed below. You will not be qualified for this scholarship if you don’t fall under the listed criteria. So you will not receive the advantage of this scholarship. All applicants must aware of this.
- The candidate has to fit within one of the scheduled categories. The student will not be eligible otherwise.
- The parent of the student’s must earn less than 2.5 lakh rupees per year. All of the father’s income sources should be included in this sum.
- When studying from class 1st through class 10th, a recipient of the scholarship under this scheme is not eligible to apply for any other scholarships.
- Segment 1 Eligibility: Pre Matric Scholarship for SC students.
- The student is not eligible to earn any other scholarships if they have applied for this one.
- The pupil needs to be enrolled in an institution approved by the government.
- The student must be studying 9th class or 10th class on a full time basis.
- Eligibility for Segment 2: Pre-Matric scholarship for children whose parents serve in unclean or hazardous environments
- Students must be enrolled full time in subjects first class to tenth class.
- Students of parents who fall into one of the following categories are eligible for this scholarship program, regardless of caste or religion.
- Tanners and Flayers
- Waster pickers or rag pickers
- Parents who are manual scavengers as per section 2(I)(g) of manual scavengers act 2013
- Parents who are engaged in hazards cleaning as per section 2(I)(d) of manual scavengers act 2013
- Such household’s income has no upper limit.
What is Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Category Students and Others?
This program supports cash aid to parents of students who belongs to Scheduled Castes, and other disadvantaged categories for education in order to fund their pre-matriculation education, so that their involvement grows. The drop out will be reduced in cases where moving from primary to next level, and elementary to secondary stage.
Scope Of the Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Category Students
- This scheme is applicable to Indian students only especially who belong to Gujarat state.
- This scholarship will be offered to students who study in Government schools and private schools which have been recognized by Gujarat government.
- To provide benefits to deserved poor families, they should belong to eligible category.
Date of Receiving Applications
Applications receiving dates from 1st April to 31st July.
The scholarship application period runs from August 15th to August 30th.
Scholarship Renewal Process and Scholarship Duration
Scholarships recipient must maintain a 75% attendance rate and demonstrate satisfactory performance each academic year in order to keep their scholarship until their tenth class is completed.
The scholarship may be renewed if the student provides a medical certificate from the appropriate authority and the school accepts it, provided that student’s absence from the annual examination is due to illness.
Scholarship will be available for only one year for studying in any class and he will not get the amount for the same class again.
