Swami Vivekanand Stipend Scheme for Technical and Professional Courses : The students who wants to study technical higher education or professional courses, they need to pay high amount of tuition fees. Every student may not be in a position to pay the hefty fees. Especially students from minority categories, they can’t afford that much fees. So to help them Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, government of Gujarat introduced one such scheme called Swami Vivekanand Stipend Scheme for Technical and Professional Courses for NTDNT students.
The Swami Vivekanand Stipend Scheme aims to provide the cash assistance to the economically backward classes from minority category students to go for higher education. Who is eligible to apply for NTDNT Student’s Swami Vivekanand Stipend Scheme?
This Swami Vivekanand Stipend Scheme is primarily designed for minority category (NTDNT) (Non Reserved, Tribal, Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi Nomadic Tribes) students.
- A student must be a resident of Gujarat state
- A student should opt for Higher education or professional course
- The family’s annual income of students from rural areas should be less than 1,20,000 rupees
- The family’s annual income of students from urban areas should not be more than 1,50,000 rupees

Benefits of Swami Vivekanand Stipend Scheme for Technical and Professional Courses (NTDNT)
The Gujarat government provides financial assistance for educational materials and other costs to students who have enrolled in Technical and Professional Courses (NTDNT) and are continuing their study.
- A student enrolled in a professional one-year course will be paid Rs. 125 per month.
- A student pursuing an ITI in the public sector will be paid Rs. 400 a month.
