Government of Gujarat implements several schemes to help the elderly persons in poverty and disabled persons staying in Gujarat state to live a decent life. It is also called Assistance Destitute Old Age Pension-ASD.

- Beneficiary must attain the age of 60 or above.
- Beneficiary must not have son aged 21 years or above.
- Disabled applicant should be above 45 years of age and disability should be more than 75%.
- If the applicant’s son is 21 years but is mentally unstable or suffering from serious illness like cancer, TB,then older people who are in need can benefit from this scheme.
- Beneficiary should be permanent resident of Gujarat state for at least 10 years.
Vrudh Pension Yojana Gujarat Income Limit
The annual income of the beneficiary should not exceed 150000 (one and a half lakh rupees) for urban area and 120000 (one lakh twenty thousand) for rural area to avail the benefit of this scheme.
Available Benefits Under The Niradhar Vrudh Pension Yojana
Vrudh Sahay Yojana Gujarat : if the beneficiary is 60 years of age or above, through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) direct deposit of Rs. 1000 (one thousand rupees) will be deposited. And for beneficiaries aged 80 years or above Rs. 1250 assistance available.
Viklang Pension Yojana (ASD) : It is a scheme for the maintenance of homeless persons with disabilities. 1000/- per month as pension assistance under this scheme if the disabled beneficiary is more than 45 years of age and disability is more than 75%.

Apply online to avail this scheme. Following documents are required to apply online and avail the Vrudh pension yojana Gujarat scheme.
- Beneficiary’s Age Proof (Any one of School Leaving Certificate-LC, Birth Certificate, Medical Certificate)
- Income certificate

Schemes/Services of Social Security Department to enable the people of rural areas to avail the benefit of State Government Old Age Assistance Scheme from their own village and to avoid unnecessary hardship and to achieve State Government’s objective of ‘Ease of Living’, one can apply online at Digital Gujarat Portal (Vriddha Sahaya Yojana Digital Gujarat Portal ).
Village Computer Entrepreneur (VCE) appointed by “e-Gram Kendras” at village level has to make online applications for State Government Financial Assistance Scheme for Indigent Senior Citizens on “Digital Gujarat Portal Website”. Per application Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty) fee shall be paid to the applicant.
If these services are available or not available at e-gram centers, one can apply online for “Niradhar Vardi Pension Yojana (ASD)” at digital Gujarat portal from the concerned Taluka Mamalatadarshi Office, Janaseva Kendras or ATVT (ATVT) Kendras.

When Will The Scheme Close?
